Photography Submission Guidelines

Outlined below are the simple rules to follow for your photograph entry.

Rose Color: The rose in your picture must be red. Other colors will not be considered because of the symbolic meaning of the red rose, and how it relates to this project. Using Adobe Photoshop (or any other editing tools) is acceptable to have the final image include a red rose.
Category Themes: Please feel free to get creative with your photographs. You may dress the part of your chosen category to show us who you really are. For instance, if you want to be listed in the “Dog Lover ” category you may want to pose with your dog. If you are a Police Officer wearing your uniform is appropriate.
Photograph Size: Please provide me with either a .jpg or .gif format set to 72dpi. Also, please size your image to a 5x7 ratio if at all possible. Vertical or horizontal configurations are both acceptable. I will do my best to make every photograph look its very best up on the website. Please note that I might ask you for a higher resolution copy of your image for printing purposes.
Participation Checklist:
1. Complete the Participation Form - Please completely fill out the required information at the time of your submittion.
2. Complete the Photo Consent Release Form - Please approve this form so that your image can be posted on the website as well as possibly printed in the published book (down the road).
3. Email Photograph - Please submit your attached image by sending it to my email address at bob@6500redroses.com. Enter the following text within the subject line of your email: "6500 Red Roses Photo Entry". Also, within the body of the email please be specific to who you are and which category you have chosen to represent. If there is a message you want to include when people click on the title of your picture, please include this in the body of the email.
4. Donations - Please do not forget to donate whatever you can to the Cyctic Fibrosis Research, Inc. (CFRI). Here is the link once again to make a donation on-line now. Also, if you do not want to donate on-line and would rather donate by telephone the number is 650-404-9975.
I reserve the right to not except any photograph that I feel does not fit the spirit of this project.
